Bintan KTA Race Clinic


As part of the KTA Indonesia powered by Bintan  we pleased to announce that we are again joining forces with NJS and Gaastra race board designer Nils to bring you fantastic opportunity to up your racing skills and knowledge. Whether you are a race board rider or TT racer the clinic will cover all aspects of racing to give you a chance to improve those final finishing positions at any competition.

856471_4602817036138_1524083495_oNils Stolzlecher is not only one of the industry’s most well-known board designers but also a world class racer also and will be representing the Austria at the 2013 World Course Race Championships in China. So don’t miss out on the great chance to take advantage of all Nils skills and experience in Bintan on the 18/19th January  just a few days before the KTA Indonesia kicks off, which is great chance also to put those newly acquired skills into action.

The final water location for the race clinic will be decided in the next few days but your starting point will always be from the riders hotel which is the Agro Beach Resort so any local travel arrangements needed will be made for you by the KTA

Further follow-up private lessons will also be available with Nils by arrangement.These private lessons  will be on offer between the 20 – 22 January, 2014.

Day one

10:00 AM Opening Comments
Basic Race Rules
How to prepare for racing
Starting sequence and how to manage it
Course Management
(Ideal to have Easel and a large pad with three different color markers)
12:00 PM: Lunch break
01:30 PM Equipment basics  (Kite, board, fins, race watch)
Equipment selection
02:30 PM On the water practice   (2 hours)
Practice starts   (  Jet Ski and flags needed with pin end mark )
04:30 PM End of seminars, free kiting


Day Two:

01:00 PM Overview of Day  (Tacking, Jibing)
02:00 PM On the water  (pending Wind)
Upwind training the skilled groups    (Windward mark needed)
Tacking practice
05:00 PM   Wrap up
