The Kiteboard Tour Asia (KTA) has been formed to give an international platform to the skills and talents of kiteboarders throughout the Asia Region. It is the first international tour of its kind in Asia that will this session be stopping in five different countries between September 2009 and March 2010.

The KTA is open to everyone from everywhere, amateur and pro riders alike and will in its first year be running two disciplines (freestyle and course racing) at each tour stop in accordance with the new unified international competition rules as laid down by the International Kiteboarding Association (IKA).

The philosophy of the KTA is to start slow and grow steadily to especially give homegrown riders the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of being part of an international competition scene. It hopes to provide a stepping-stone for the regions best riders into the pro tour scene by giving them the full experience of high level competition at a more local level and who knows maybe even in the process discover a future world champion!

The KTA tour will result in tour stop event champions, the eventual overall KTA champions and the first ever Asian champions. So whether you are able to compete only at one event or take on the whole tour there is a chance to walk away a winner.
