KTA Team






To represent and develop the KTA in all its elements, before, during and after the tour. Liaison with all
the local tour stop organisers and tour level management during each event.


Neil has been involved with the kite industry since 1990 and particularly involved with power kiting for
most of that time in all its formats – land, water and snow.

Originally from the UK Neil has been living in Asia now for the past five years, although working in the
region for almost ten.

Neil is perhaps most well known in the kite world for his work in the training field both with the BKSA in
Britain of which he was one of the founders and internationally with the IKO as an examiner and training master.

Neil also has a background in the competition side of things also and has a various times been involved
with judging and event management - as part of the early BMC world tour (forerunner to the PKRA), with the KPWT and the BKSA championship tours, as well as a number of one off events and championships.







To ensure KTA’s image is portrayed in the best possible ways and create and manage other marketing partnerships and opportunities, to also assist in the organization of the Tour in all elements including
sponsors and local Organizers. Willy is also responsible for all media management and website/design duties.


Willy originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, has owned and ran kitesurfing schools and retail stores
around Thailand for the last 2 years with his chain of 5 KiteZone centers, he also has ran his successful
web & graphic design company in Thailand for the last 5 years Phuketdesign.com

Willy has been living and doing business in Asia for the last 8 years, 7 of which have been in Thailand.
Known for his passion of growing and pushing the limits of Kitesurfing in Thailand, Willy has been hugely responsible for the unification and speedy growth of the sport and industry in the Thai region. His efforts
have been continuously opening up avenues and opportunities to riders and areas that normally
wouldn’t have the chance here in Asia.






Stephan is a a traveler, who likes to see all those sweet little kite spots around the world. He’s been involved with kiting since 2002 and traveled around the globe as IKO instructor for the past 6years, managing some kite boarding schools in Thailand and Philippines and teaching in South and Central America..

His roots are still in Switzerland where he takes a break for the summer time period and works on his original job as electromechanical engineer.

He’s been all over the world, connecting with people from all kinds of nationalities and sports. His sport background is over 20years of ice hockey, snowboarding, skiing, climbing and all kinds of freestyle sports.

Stephan got a judging background from some smaller contests in kite boarding and a good knowledge of the sport from the years of kite boarding teaching experience.

And of course, he is Swiss and always neutral.
