The KTA Philippines can be summed up in one word – brilliant!!
It really has provided a touch of everything you would want for a top level kiteboard event. A stop that has given us four days of great competition, in a stunning tropical location, with a group of amazing people who know how to party their socks off...............

Wow, what an awesome tour stop. Big thanks to all involved from the riders to the local organisers, the sponsors and everyone who helped out each day to make the Vietnam round the best yet. The Mui Ne conditions lived up to everything we had hoped for, as one of Asia’s most consistent wind venues, by giving the KTA tour four days of excellent competition, along with cool parties by night courtesy of our key local sponsor Sankara.
Fantastic start to things here in Mui Ne. The conditions are the best we have seen on the tour so far, consistent 25kt winds that build nicely through the day, a great local organising team from Sankara and C2Sky and 70 riders from 18 different countries taking part in freestyle, course racing and especially for Vietnam – BIG AIR !!.........
For the KTA Vietnam tour stop we are please to announce that we have a prize package totalling around the US$10,000 mark for the event. The prizes consisting of cash, equipment prizes and other items will be shared equally amongst the four competition classes – men’s and women’s freestyle and also men’s and women’s course racing to cover the first, second and third placed riders in each group.........
The KTA Vietnam will be running from the 28th – 31st January on the beachfront that runs between the C2Sky kite centre at the Sunshine Beach Resort and Sankara. C2Sky are the KTA’s main local organiser and are the people who can help you out with accommodation, transfers and even visas. Their details are and information is all listed on the Vietnam tour stop page for you........
Boracay Windsurfing have just announced that the Boracay Funboard Cup will once again be returning to the island to celebrate its 21st year after a break during 2009. The Funboard Cup is one of the regions most prestigious and long established windsurfing competition events, which during the past few years has also seen the introduction of kiteboarding events as the sport established and grew on the island...............
Well it has to be said that in the end typhoon Nida has had more than its fair share of input to the 2nd round of the KTA. Nida, which appeared in the region last week has twisted the regions weather patterns, which at the competition venue in Hong Kong has meant wind directions varying from bang on North through to South East and even beyond due South at times. In the end this sadly resulted in no further competition for the event over the last two days..............

The KTA Hong Kong has seen a good entry again with 38 riders registering from 14 different country’s which included this time Egypt, the UK, Spain and Germany. On the cards for the event are both national and international level competitions, with the final leg of the KTA Greater China freestyle and course racing championships alongside the continuing KTA tour disciplines.. . . .

The KTA would once again like to thank all the local and tour level sponsors for their fantastic support in providing a great prize package for the 2nd round of the KTA tour. The Hong Kong event combines both a national level Greater China competition along with the international continental tour events ! . . .

Well we hope that you are still all on a high from the first found of the KTA as we head for round two in Hong Kong. The first KTA was a great success, with a great location, some great riding and of course some excellent wind - so no pressure then for Hong Kong ! . . .
